Being Beloved

Welcome To My New Website

I’ve been on a little break from writing online. I spent a month fully focused on the book. No, I didn’t finish it, in case you were wondering. But it was a quiet peaceful break from everything online.

I had a writing coach look at my table of contents and some of my chapters. A lot of interesting things were pointed out, quite a few things that I could change and make better. Some things he really liked about the writing, other things he was honest and told me how I could improve. Although it may be difficult to hear the things that you are not doing well, it’s also nice to hear honest feedback from someone who used to work in publishing as well as being an author himself.

All in all it was a good experience and I hope to do it again. I learned a lot in a short amount of time. The coaching call lasted about an hour. If any of my fellow writers are considering doing a coaching call it was well worth the investment of time and money.

But do be prepared for some criticism. Like the Proverb says,

Teach a wise man what is right
    and he’ll grow even wiser.
    Instruct the lovers of God
    and they’ll learn even more.
Proverb 9:9 (TPT)

It is always a wise idea to consider that we do not know everything about an endeavor. Teachers are good to have. A little help, instruction or guidance can prevent us from wasting our time doing something that isn’t really working for anyone.

In other news, Summer is here! I hope everyone is finding something to enjoy about the season. I will be getting back to my Being Beloved Seasonal Newsletter’s soon. As for my plans for writing here on my lovely new website that my daughter and my son-in-law created, I am excited to get back to writing in the less structured format of a blog. I realized during my break how much I enjoy this short creative logging of my spiritual journey.

Thank you to each of my readers that are coming along on this journey! Hope everyone has a pleasant summer. I have some exciting ideas coming up soon for this space. Talk to you soon.

Hi Jennifer
Thank you for sharing your writing. I just joined the Flourish group and your blog is the first that I read. It has been on my heart that I will be a writer one day, and I have no idea why. I suspect God has something to do with it. I look forward to reading more of your stories. Thanks again from the newbie:)

    Hi, Diana
I’m so happy that you enjoyed my blog. I think Flourish is a great group to get started with writing. Welcome to the group, everyone is encouraging and Mindy and Jenny do a great job of helping writers learn more.
